RSK Benelux is the hub of the CoE for soil and groundwater services, including investigation and remediation of contaminated land. This CoE consists of six experts from across Europe who support and advise project managers in all of the European countries in which RSK operates. These are predominantly Benelux, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland and the UK.
The soil and groundwater services CoE, which is coordinated by Sammy Tanghe, RSK Benelux senior consultant and service manager, aims to facilitate the work of project managers, where necessary, as opposed to taking over their work. This could involve working closely with a project manager or peer reviewing a report. We also share best practices and lessons learned with the wider RSK community, and provide training packages.
Local knowledge centre
RSK Benelux has a local knowledge centre comprising experts in soil and groundwater remediation techniques, risk assessment, hydrogeology and region-specific environmental legislation. This centre deals with issues specific to Belgium and Luxembourg. Here, our experts focus on the scientific and technical aspects of a specific issue. They can support local project managers with advice or, for more complex projects, take responsibility for part of a project.
This local knowledge centre is managed by Alex Ectors, technical manager at RSK Benelux.
